For those not familiar with the Steamworks, Valve has developed a system for distributing and installing non-DRM content (that is, content that does not use third-party DRM) on Steam machines. When a developer/publisher submits a game to Steam, the Steam client automatically checks the game for non-DRM elements (e.g. assets) and corrects any errors and adds a few required files. Content that has been approved by the developer or publisher for Steamworks content gets a Steamworks logo in the game's store. Steam also offers a number of tools for the developer/publisher to manage their Steamworks content. The Steamworks sales and features, like Steamworks content, are a bit different between the various operating systems.

Note: This list is not complete, as not every game or piece of software available on Steam is actually a DRM-free version. Some are simply Steam keys that, if used, would require the use of Steam. Some are just plain non-Steam versions that provide no DRM at all, and just offer a Steam key for convenience. Some are also third-party keys that may or may not be devoid of DRM, and such keys are not suitable for use on these lists.

If you don't want to use Steam, though, there are more options. The games in this list have no DRM at all, even if you download them using the Steam Store or Steam client . Of course, you need to have an account on Steam to use the client, but you can buy games on the client itself without downloading them and then installing them. If you have a desktop or laptop, you can also use the official Steam client software to download games, even if you only have a connection via mobile devices.

If another hacker does this, then they will be able to put any game on the ps3 in a matter of minutes! and that means that Sony will be out of the console market for good. We have seen what happens when sony doesn't support games anymore. Nintendo is turning a profit, now it is time for Sony to do the same, or else they are dead.

I don't see the appeal of owning a Sony PS3, and I don't see the value of the PS3 as an entertainment device. Sony has become one of the most untrustworthy companies in the gaming industry in my eyes. 827ec27edc
