NTPTool is a simple Windows utility that can be pointed at a time server and used to query the current time using the NTP protocol. Simply enter the IP address of the server and request the information. A great tool verifying the setup of a new time server installation.
Setup and use of this time server is straightforward. Simply connect both the included power supply and the GPS antenna to the base unit and then connect the base unit to the local network. Go to a computer on the network and browse to the device at its default web address to enter the software setup within the control box. Set parameters to match your network and the system will start to send out time packets to any device on the system that asks for an update from it. When paired with our digital Power Over Ethernet (PoE) clocks, synchronized time is assured no matter the state of your network, or the state of the internet time server the clocks are pointed to. Accuracy is improved because the network delay of the internet is highly variable, while the local LAN connection is likely a sub-millisecond delay. TimeMachine GPS NTP server devices are suited for any application where coordination of events at multiple locations is required. Used by education, industrial facilities, military installations, public safety command rooms, government, broadcasting, and hospitals. Supports IPv4 and IPv6.
This is the perfect solution for the small to mid sized business that requires an accurate time clock. Even large businesses could deploy a few of these and do well with them. The unit is easy to set up and start using. It has all the important features you can think of including external antenna jack and serial port. The price is right as well, and they have plenty of accessories available to complete a professional installation.
From outdoor GPS antennas, GPS splitters, extension cables, and mounting accessories, we have all the pieces that you will need for your installation needs. In addition to the GPS time servers, we provide a range of accessories including antennas, cables, and mounts to streamline and optimize the installation within your facility.
However, in some cameras, only an "enable DST" checkbox is provided, and users must manually set and reset time when daylight savings begins and ends. Care should be taken to ensure this is done, as inaccurate time will be provided if it is not.
In addition to automatic sync options, many cameras also allow the time to be manually set. This is not recommended, as manual adjustment may easily be forgotten or incorrectly set, and adjusting time on even a handful of cameras may become tedious and time consuming. Because each camera is changed manually, it is difficult to get the time on each camera to the same second, and could be a minute or more off. Drifting will occur over time and can cause the cameras to be many minutes or more off. In this case you may see obscure time differences (i.e. 6 minutes off, 18 minutes off, etc) between cameras and other devices on the network.
In a surveillance LAN, one (or more) servers may be configured as a time server. This machine then retrieves time from a public source such as ntp.org or is manually set, and serves time to all other devices in the network. This is most often configured via third party programs such as Meinberg NTP or NetTime.
LeoNTP is a Stratum 1 NTP time server with GPS synchronised reference clock source. This NTP server has a very unique custom design with three key features:- highest performance while serving time with microsecond accuracy at speeds reaching 100% network port bandwidth of 100Mbps - simple user interface. You can configure it without any user manual- cost effectiveness. It is priced at a fraction of the cost of comparable performance NTP time serversPowered by either USB or PoE (802.3af), it can provide accurate synchronised time for your LAN, WAN, CCTV, PLC, telephone systems or wherever accurate standalone time is required. Can be safely used on the open Internet, for example in NTP pool.We have multiple publicly available units participating in NTP pool project.
Most often this might be caused by loose or incorrect connections, or the product is designed for a different application. First check the installation manual to be sure all connections are correct and that the device is designed to supply the voltage for your application.
If all connections are correct, check the power supplies. Are the batteries charged sufficiently for the load? If it is a solar charge controller, are the solar modules connected correctly and are they receiving good sunlight to operate? Always best to review each components manual to ensure a safe and successful installation.
RemotePro® and UPSPro® systems are designed to maintain proper battery charge within a defined range. Our systems have protections for over-discharge of batteries but batteries also self-discharge over time, so if they are left without any charge or maintenance for a long time (normally over 6 months) they will continue to self-discharge. Our systems are not designed to restore a battery function if the battery gets over discharged. Our systems work within the range of 0% (13VDC) to 100% discharge (10VDC) on batteries. If batteries are less than 10VDC the user must recondition the battery by charging the battery with a good quality automotive battery charger (6A to 25A). We find that manual type chargers work best.
Modern networks require accurate, secure and reliable time services. The security-hardened SyncServer S600 network time server delivers exact hardware-based Network Time Protocol (NTP) and Precise Time Protocol (PTP) timestamps. In addition to its unparalleled accuracy and security, the S600 offers outstanding and easy-to-use features for reliable network time services to meet the needs of networks and business operations today and into the future.
Some applications require security enhancements above and beyond what might otherwise be acceptable. In addition to supporting the standard network security protocols, the SyncServer S600 time server can be configured to provide additional timing, operational and authentication security to create the most hardened NTP/PTP server. This makes the S600 an excellent choice for Zero Trust networks.
The IEEE 1588 PTP output license enables PTP grandmaster operations that leverage the built-in hardware timestamping available in all SyncServer time servers. This single-option license allows the LAN 2, 3 and 4 ports, as well as the optional 10 GbE LAN 5 and 6 ports, to be uniquely configured as PTP grandmasters. This is a very cost-effective solution for scaling PTP grandmaster operations and increasing configuration flexibility. PTP can also be configured as an input time reference.
An illuminated Select button is provided above each of the channel Pan controls and there's a Mute button for each channel as well as for the first two Group outputs. Two channels (odd/even pairs only) may be linked for ganged operation by pressing down both Select buttons at the same time. Other than that, there are relatively few buttons, as most facilities are accessed via a menu system. 2b1af7f3a8
