Delphi 2007 for Win32 (Spacely) was released on July 12th, 2007. It was the first release of Delphi after more than seven years. Several new features were added, including support for MSBuild (possibly the biggest new feature). Furthermore, it was the first version of Delphi that allowed installation of multiple language compilations in one installation. The Japanese version was officially distributed on July 21st, 2007. Due to the popularity of the new Japanese version, several Japanese language packs were released. Delphi 2007 drops official support for Windows 98, but compiled projects will still run on it. The build number for Delphi 2007 release is 11.0.2693.5591.

Note that RAD Studio 2007 / Delphi 2007 for Win32 and C++Builder 2007 was already a very stable release, so the hotfix was a process of removal of some bugs and minor miscellaneous changes.An especially interesting minor change was the removal of the all-round-debuggability of the IDE with an installer update - and this can be checked in the About Box too. This release of the IDE would not offer all the features of later versions (see Release Notes), but it served it's purpose of being an easy-to-install Delphi that one could use for development. The hotfix with the March 2007 Update was still targeted at the Windows version of Delphi, but the version number now showed 11.0.2902.10471, so this hotfix was also targeted at Delphi 2007 for Win32 (original release).

This is the second update for Codegear Delphi for Win32. The update will re-install the product, which means all components and settings are lost, even if you chose to not install them again. This update continues the work begun in the December 2007 Update. It contains the following fixes:

Fix for Component Speed Indicator. Delphi 2007 had too many problems with the speed indicator (the gauge) of the component list when about to be closed. For that component the gauge stopped updating. This fix removes that problem.
