Kalnaellis strove for a different approach, seeing the idea of animated films as a series of small, self-contained films. He had already drawn the attention of other producers, and in 1995 he founded Rija studio. While the kind of film it wanted to make and its strategy remained unknown, the studio decided to pursue the production of animated films with a minimum of three minutes; the first of these films was the realistic feature The Battle of Krviln, which was animated by J. Santers (Latvia's first feature-length animated film, Krvilna kule, was made by the J. Vilnis Kalnaellis, J. Santers and R. Cārulis studios in 1993). His experience of producing Krvilna kule, which depicted the three-day battle between the Russian and the Latvian sides at the end of the 19th century, gave Kalnaellis the idea to create a story about a little girl, based on an anecdote of the author's grandmother, about a poor young girl who sells her knockers and is subsequently saved by a king. The film was made by the studio's own animation studio and the film's soundtrack was written by Ziviļs Jaunsēns (Latvia's first band), which performed some of the film's background music. It was released in 1996, and although it was not a big success, it was the first step into the production of feature-length animated films.
In 1996, when the Rija studio was producing Strava parunai (1996), a film about two young friends, two new animated techniques, the subtitling and the cel animation, debuted. Stiebra and Berzin¸ had added subtitling to Pietiekamības mores (1992) and Pietiekamības bailes (1993), and J. Brigade had done the same for Sākums (1995). The subtitling for Strava parunai was done by L. Glaude, while the cel animation was performed by S. Bonia. The film was a huge hit in Russia, but the biggest impact was in Latvia, where the Latvian version of Pietiekamības mores was released in 1997. The film was nominated for the Golden Bear at the Berlin International Film Festival, a prize that this year had not yet been won by Latvian films.
If another hacker does this, then they will be able to put any game on the ps3 in a matter of minutes! and that means that Sony will be out of the console market for good. We have seen what happens when sony doesn't support games anymore. Nintendo is turning a profit, now it is time for Sony to do the same, or else they are dead.
I don't see the appeal of owning a Sony PS3, and I don't see the value of the PS3 as an entertainment device. Sony has become one of the most untrustworthy companies in the gaming industry in my eyes. 827ec27edc
